On this trip, your guide will pick you up to visit the West Bank monuments, which include:
First: The Valley of the Queens, which the ancient Egyptians called Ta-Set-Neferu, and it contains the tombs of the most famous queens, wives of the great kings of the nineteenth and twentieth dynasties.
The most beautiful of these tombs is the tomb of Queen Nefertari, wife of the great king Ramses II. It also includes some of the sons of kings, such as the son of King Ramses II, called Amun-Herkhepshef, and Prince Kha-Em-Waset, and some ministers, such as Minister Imhotep, who was a minister during the reign of King Thutmose I. The site was later used in the Christian era as a place for monks and priests.
We then go to visit one of the most beautiful temples that still retains its splendor and bright colors, which is the Temple of Habu, which was built by King Ramses III and is one of the greatest funerary temples.
The walls of the temple depict the naval victories of King Ramses III over the Sea Peoples and his control over the Mediterranean Sea.
The temple is characterized by the sunken carvings that you can put your hands inside, as well as its bright colors that speak life.
Behind the temple, the palace of King Ramses III and his royal bath were discovered. Prince Amun-Mes supervised the construction of the temple, as he held the position of treasurer of the treasury during the reign of Ramses III.
Finally, we will go to the workers' city or Deir el-Medina, which is the city that flourished during the period of building the royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens.
The city was divided in a very organized manner, and the remains of the houses are still present until now. A complete tomb was discovered in it, which is the tomb of the chief worker Kha and his wife Merit. It is one of the most beautiful tombs that have been found complete and contains the complete household furniture of the chief worker and his wife, which tells us how the middle class lived in ancient times.
The workers built a small temple of their own to worship the goddess Hathor. Many manuscripts and fragments were also discovered at this site describing many diseases and how to treat them. They also tell of some strikes by the workers at different times due to the lack of supplies and money provided to them.
