Get ready for an unforgettable journey into ancient Egypt! At 8:00 AM, your knowledgeable tour guide will whisk you away from your hotel, taking you on a thrilling adventure to the Giza Plateau. There, you'll stand in awe before the majestic Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Menkaure – the last remaining wonder of the ancient world. These colossal structures, older than any other wonder, are guarded by the enigmatic Sphinx, a rock-cut statue that has captivated imaginations for centuries.
Next, prepare to be transported to the fascinating Saqqara complex, where you'll discover the Step Pyramid of King Zoser. This ancient wonder holds a special place in history, being considered the first pyramid ever built in Egypt and the first rock-cut structure ever created.
Your adventure continues to Memphis, one of ancient Egypt's bustling capitals until around 2,200 BC. Here, you'll step back in time and explore a vibrant religious center dedicated to Ptah, the god of creation and artistry. Marvel at the numerous temples and monuments dedicated to this revered deity.
After this captivating experience, you'll be returned to your hotel, carrying with you unforgettable memories of Egypt's ancient grandeur.
Get ready for an unforgettable journey through time! After a comfortable air-conditioned transfer to Cairo airport, you'll soar to Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes. Upon arrival, a knowledgeable guide will be waiting to whisk you away on an exploration of the east bank's magnificent temples.
First, you'll delve into the sprawling Karnak Temple Complex, a breathtaking testament to ancient Egyptian grandeur. Wander through a labyrinth of temples, chapels, and towering pylons, each whispering tales of pharaohs and gods. Construction began under Senusret I during the Middle Kingdom and continued right through the Ptolemaic Period, making it a vast open-air museum and the second largest ancient religious site in the world.
This magnificent complex was primarily dedicated to the Theban triad: the mighty god Amon, his divine consort Mut, and their son Khunso.
Next, prepare to be captivated by Luxor Temple, a monument steeped in ancient rituals. Step into a realm where pharaohs celebrated life and the afterlife. Marvel at the intricate scenes etched upon the temple walls, depicting the vibrant festivals held here. The inner sanctum was created by the powerful King Amenhotep III, while the imposing outer structures were built by the legendary Ramses II.
As you explore, you'll stumble upon a fascinating blend of history within the temple walls. An ancient mosque, known as Abu Al-Haggag, stands on the ruins of a church, itself built within the temple's hallowed grounds. Behind the main temple, discover exquisite chapels built by the great Thutmosis III and the conquering Alexander the Great.
After your journey through time, you'll be chauffeured back to your hotel in Luxor, ready to reflect on the wonders you've witnessed.
Get ready for an unforgettable journey into Egypt's ancient past! Your guide will pick you up bright and early, whisking you away to the west bank of the Nile, where the secrets of the pharaohs await.
First, you'll step into the Valley of the Kings, a place of mystery and grandeur. Explore the beautifully preserved tombs of the New Kingdom's rulers, including the magnificent tomb of Ramses II and the fascinating resting place of the boy king, Tutankhamun.
Next, stand in awe before the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a masterpiece of architecture known as "the Holy of Holies." Marvel at its three levels, connected by elegant ramps, and discover the captivating scenes on its walls depicting the queen's divine birth and her legendary voyage to Punt Land. This temple is a testament to the power of the supreme god Amon-Ra.
Finally, gaze upon the Colossi of Memnon, two colossal statues of King Amenhotep III seated in solemn majesty.
After an unforgettable day, you'll be chauffeured back to your hotel in Luxor, filled with the echoes of ancient Egypt.
Get ready for an unforgettable adventure in Aswan! Your day begins bright and early with a 6:00 AM pick-up from your Luxor hotel, whisking you away to the captivating city of Aswan.
Upon arrival, prepare to be amazed by Aswan's highlights. First, marvel at the awe-inspiring High Dam, a testament to Egypt's engineering prowess. This monumental structure, built in the last century, dwarfs even the Great Pyramid of Cheops, containing 18 times the amount of material! Its significance is profound, providing Egypt with essential water and electricity while safeguarding the nation from the Nile's destructive floods.
Next, step back in time at the Temple of Isis at Philae. This ancient sanctuary, begun under Ptolemy II and completed by Roman emperors, stands as a tribute to the revered goddess Isis. Known as the mother of Horus and the consort of Osiris, Isis played a pivotal role in Egyptian mythology.
Your Aswan journey continues with a visit to the Aswan Granite Quarries, once the primary source of granite for all of Egypt. Here, you'll witness the remarkable Unfinished Obelisk, likely intended for Queen Hatshepsut of the 18th dynasty. This colossal obelisk, measuring a staggering 42 metres, would have been the heaviest ever crafted in ancient Egypt, weighing an astounding 1,100 tons!
Finally, unwind with a tranquil Felucca ride, gliding through the serene Aswan islands. This serene boat journey offers breathtaking views and a sense of tranquility.
Your day of discovery concludes with a comfortable return to your hotel, brimming with memories of Aswan's ancient wonders.
Get ready for an unforgettable sunrise experience! At 5:00 am, your friendly tour guide will whisk you away from your hotel, taking you on a thrilling journey to Abu Simbel. This iconic site is home to the magnificent Great and Small temples, dedicated to the legendary Pharaoh Ramses II and his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari. Prepare to be awestruck as you witness the temples rising majestically from the solid rock overlooking the Nile River. This remarkable complex is part of UNESCO's "Nubian Monuments" World Heritage Site, stretching from Abu Simbel to Philae near Aswan.
The ancient Egyptian architects, masters of their craft, cleverly aligned the temple's axis so that on October 22nd and February 22nd, the sun's rays would pierce through the sanctuary, casting a mystical glow upon the sculptures on the back wall.
The only exception is the statue of Ptah, the god of the Underworld, who remains shrouded in darkness – a captivating symbol of the eternal cycle. It is believed that these special dates commemorate the Pharaoh's birthday and coronation day.
After your awe-inspiring visit, you'll journey back to Aswan around 2 pm, where you'll have the rest of the day to relax and unwind at your hotel.
