Towering white chalk rock spires, each sculpted by the relentless desert winds, rise from the ground like fantastical frost-covered lollipops.The best time to witness this otherworldly landscape is at sunrise or sunset, when the golden light bathes the spires in warm orange and pink hues. Or, imagine yourself under a full moon, gazing at a ghostly Arctic scene, the white spires shimmering in the moonlight.
The sand surrounding these formations is a treasure trove, littered with shimmering quartz, deep-black iron pyrites, and even ancient fossils whispering stories of a forgotten time.Now, venture to the western side of the Farafra-Bahariya highway, where the wind-hewn sculptures give way to a different kind of beauty.
Majestic white chalk towers, known as inselbergs, burst forth from the desert floor, forming a dramatic white canyon. Between them, grand boulevards of sand stretch out like geological Champs-Élysées, inviting you to explore.
The western side offers a peaceful respite from the eastern spectacle, with its shady nooks and secluded spots, making it the perfect place to set up camp and soak in the serenity of the desert night.

After a hearty breakfast, we'll delve deeper into the captivating Black Desert. First up, we'll ascend El-Marssos Mountain, its rugged peaks promising breathtaking views. Then, we'll journey to El-Hez Village, where the rejuvenating Cold Spring awaits, a chance to refresh and revitalise. Next, we'll explore the wonders of Crystal Mountain and the Agabat area, each offering unique landscapes to discover.
Crossing the valleys, we'll reach the enchanting Green Spring, a place steeped in history. Here, we'll savour a delicious lunch while marvelling at this ancient Roman spring.
Our day concludes with a visit to the mesmerizing New White Desert, home to the most exquisite limestone formations. Witnessing these natural masterpieces is truly a sight to behold. Finally, we'll transfer you back to your hotel, where you can unwind and reflect on the day's adventures.

After a hearty breakfast at our hotel, we'll embark on a journey back to the oasis, where we'll spend the night in comfort at the Safari Camp in Bahariya Oasis.
Our adventure then continues with a scenic drive back to Cairo, where our driver will ensure you reach your Cairo hotel or the airport for your onward journey.
